Angewandte Chemie has article categories covering all aspects of the field. Reviews summarize the important results of recent research on topical subjects in all branches of chemistry, point to unresolved problems and discuss possible developments. The Essays freely address themes from every aspect of chemistry, including the philosophy or history of science. Concise evaluations of current trends in chemical research can be found in the Highlights. In the Editorials, eminent authors discuss topics such as research politics, the relationship of chemistry and society, and chemical education. The core of the journal, however, is the Communications. These are critically selected and report on the latest research results, making the journal indispensable to the chemist who wants to stay well informed. Angewandte Chemie also regularly publishes Nobel lectures in chemistry and related fields.

Angewandte Chemie is owned by the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker (German Chemical Society, GDCh) and published by Wiley-VCH.

Latest reviews of Angewandte Chemie International Edition app for iPhone and iPad

Not yet what it should be
Being able to read Angewandte Chemie on iPad sounds great, but unfortunately the app doesnt yet live up to the expectations. It is generally very slow and not exactly stable. Starting easily takes up to a minute, downloading a 60 MB issue may take 5 minutes or more and when the download is finished, either the app crashes or you have to quit it because it will most likely crash as soon as you do something. But once you have the issues on your iPad at last and once more waited patiently for the app to start again, you are rewarded with a very pleasant reading experience. It just shouldnt be so hard to get there.
Excellent
After ACS and RSC, now Wiley on the iPad….COOL We are waiting for the other journals…. when the full set of journals will be available, you will get the 5th star
Great app
You can log in with your account associated with university. And get full access to papers outside university. Much much better than RSC, ACS, AAAS, NPG
